Glacial Multimedia Attends 2011 Perspectives on Eye Care Hosted By Minnesota Eye Consultants

Minnesota Eye Consultants presents lectures from top ophthalmologists every year at their annual symposium. This year over 400 optometrists attended the event. Lectures by Elizabeth Davis, MD, Thomas Samuelson, MD, Sherman Reeves, MD, Ravid Hardten MD, and William Lipham, MD were nothing short of amazing. I always learn the most interesting and advanced things about ophthalmology and this years course was no different. I had the pleasure of watching the Elizabeth Davis, MD presentation entitled, Cataract Surgery and IOL options Present and Future. This presentation covered the future of lens implants, TORIC IOLs, complications, and the state of new IOL options including Tetraflex, and Akkolens. There was also discussions surrounding bladeless cataract surgery which is sure to gain a lot of attention over this next year.
